Reasons to visit London:

London has over two thousand years of history captured in world-beating museums  and historic buildings, the world’s best theatre and (classical/rock) music scenes, and an incredible variety of things to do. Parts of London are beautiful and each separate area has its own character and attractions.  Paris may be more beautiful, Tokyo and New York may be busier, but for us London is still the greatest large city in the world.

Reasons not to visit London: Here are some possible reasons not to visit London:

It is very expensive – this is true, but still some of the best things in London are cheap or free - see the budget section.

The food is bad – not true if you plan ahead and are willing to try different types of cooking.

It is unsafe - not true. It is one of the safer cities in the world to visit and the risk of terrorism (which has put so many people off visiting) is tiny.
